Uruguay have beaten European champions Portuga 2-1 in their World Cup round-of-16 match to book a place in the quarter-finals.
Edinson Cavani scored both goals for Uruguay while Pepe netted Portugal’s only goal of the match.
It was the first time Uruguay have conceded a goal in the ongoing Fifa World Cup in Russia.
Uruguay will play France in the quarter-finals on Friday.
Earlier on Saturday, 19-year-old Kylian Mbappe scored two goals in the second half as 1998 winners France beat Argentina 4-3 to a book a place in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
Mbappe has become the first teenager since Brazilian great Pele in the 1958 final to score two goals in one World Cup match.
On Sunday, hosts Russia will face Spain while Croatia play Denmark.
